Disney’s enchanting history

The Disney magic is as strong today as it was when it first began. A talented artist from a young age, Walt drew cartoons for various publications before starting the Disney Cartoon Studio with his brother in 1923. When Steamboat Willie was released in 1928, the world was introduced to Mickey Mouse – probably the most famous cartoon character in history. The Mickey shorts were so popular that Disney decided to create a feature film – Snow White and the Seven Dwarves - a huge smash hit when it was released in 1937. Since then, the Walt Disney Company has become an icon of the entertainment industry, produced countless ground-breaking movies and created some of our best loved cartoon characters, from Donald Duck and Pluto to Buzz Lightyear, Nemo and the Incredibles.
