The art of Secret Santa

Love it or hate it, Secret Santa is officially a thing. In offices across the country, people will be pulling names out of hats as we speak, and panicking about what the fudge to buy Barry in IT.  But panic no more friends! Our gift grotto is THE place to find the perfect present. With all gifts under £10 and many under £5, we’ve got unique treats for all budgets.

But where the heck did Secret Santa begin?

There are lots of different stories about where Secret Santa started. Some people think it comes from the old Scandinavian tradition of julklapp (Christmas tapping in Swedish), where neighbours would leave a gift on each other’s doorsteps, knock and then run away (kind of like a nice festive version of Knock Down Ginger). Others think it came from an American philanthropist called Larry Dean Stewart, who spent 20 years anonymously donating $100 bills to people at random and gave out $25,000 in $100 bills after 9/11 – what a guy!

Secret Santa gift ideas (you can thank us later)

If they’re all about having a seriously merry Christmas, this Endless Prosecco Glass is sure to get the party started. Or Gin-gle their bells with this Giant Gin Glass which makes repeat trips to the bar a thing of the past – cheers!

Twerk Pong is sure to liven up the office party. Shake it like a North Polaroid picture, until the balls pop out of your twerk box. (This is when you discover that you’re really not ready for Sandra from HR’s jelly.) Or for something more chill, how about a traditional Hook a Duck game? It’s a classic for a reason!

For the office stress-head we’ve got a range of adorable stress balls from unicorns and sausage dogs to golden poos (depending on how much you like them!). Best of all, if you’ve got more than one Secret Santa to take part in, these can be mixed and matched with great savings.

A quirky mug is an office must-have, so you don’t get mixed up with your desk-buddies on a tea round. This Drag Queen Dress Up Mug channels pure Ru-Paul – shantay, you stay! Or for something more seasonal, this Dress Your Elf Mug is totes adorbs as well as providing hours of festive fun.

Still worried about Secret Santa? Nah – with our gorgeous gifts, yule sleigh it. Ho ho ho.
